After six amazing years, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Gorey Awards. Rising costs and increasing time commitments have made it challenging to continue - but what a journey it’s been! Over the years, we’ve raised awareness via print, radio, Web and social media of the local businesses, community groups, charities, local heroes, Gorey and North Wexford area itself, along with raising €34,702.60 for local charities including Talk To Tom, Advocates for Autism, Friend Of Gorey District Hospital, Voices of Gorey, SVP, NWSPCA, Courtown Community Council, Gorey Youth Needs, Parents Unite for Respite, Defibs for Gorey, Jack and Jill Gorey, Meals on Wheels. From everyone involved, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported, sponsored, judged, attended, and believed in this event. You’ve helped make a lasting difference in our community.
